Before joining the team at Body Works West, Kia worked as an Exercise Physiologist at Exercise for Life in Perth, Western Australia where she worked with individuals with clinical conditions including cardio respiratory, musculo-skeletal and metabolic disorders. Kia has 8 years experience in elite sport representing Australia in hockey. During this time (during which she completed her degree) she has worked with and along side Strength and Conditioning officers, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, Doctors, Occupational therapists, National Level Coaches, Dieticians and Sports Psychologists. This has given Kia a unique perspective of what it takes to condition and train the body to the highest level and as a result her Personal Training sessions are interesting, challenging and varied.
Cardiovascular fitness training, resistance training, core conditioning, weight management, injury prevention and rehabilitation are all areas she has personal experience in. However this is not all, Kia can also perform postural assessments, talk with you about nutrition and help you with setting realistic and achievable goals.
Training with Kia will enhance your natural abilities and is sure to give you a fresh new outlook on what you and your body can achieve.
